Stonington Island was the furthest south and the site of more abandoned bases.
Horseshoe Island is home to seals, skua, and another hut.

Bongrain Point and Jenny Island

Two unusual locations in Marguerite Bay. Bongrain Point is on the lovely named Pourquoi Pas? Island.
Jenny Island was a difficult landing, but gave close sight of lots of seals.

Fish Islands and Lemaire Channel

The Fish Islands are low-lying, but heavily populated by Adelies.
Our second passage through the famous Lemaire Channel was late at night which gave it a different emphasis.

Base Brown and Port Lockroy

The Argentinian Base Almirante Brown (named for the Irish founder of the Argentine navy).
Port Lockroy is home to the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust museum, shop and Post Office.

Deception Island

Two landings inside the volcanic caldera of Deception Island.
Telefon Bay is very "volcanic", whilst Whaler's Bay is littered with whaling and research debris.

Arrival

A visit to the bridge, sighting of Cape Horn, and return to port.
This was followed by a trekking tour near Ushuaia with amazing scenery and then a day in Buenos Aires.
